1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Leak It ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you consent to the practices described here.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly (such as account details, username, email address, and content you post), information generated by your use of the Service (such as posts, comments, check-ins, and reports), and technical information (device identifiers, app version, crash logs, IP address).
3. Location Data
Leak It is a location-based service. We collect precise location data with your permission to display nearby Leaks and Hubs, and approximate location for regional features. You may enable Fuzz Location to shift your public pin by up to 100 meters. We do not sell your location data to third parties.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to operate and improve the Service, personalize your feed, deliver notifications, prevent abuse and enforce our Terms, and communicate with you about updates. We do not sell your personal information.
5. User Content
Content you post (Leaks, comments, media) is visible to other users of the Service according to the visibility settings you choose. Leaks are ephemeral and automatically expire per their Time-to-Live setting (1 to 72 hours). Anchored leaks and content saved by other users may persist for related features.
6. Sharing With Third Parties
We share information with service providers who help us operate the Service (such as hosting, analytics, and crash reporting) under contractual data protection obligations. We may disclose information to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights, safety, and property of Leak It, our users, or the public.
7. Data Retention
We retain account information for as long as your account is active. Expired Leaks are removed from the active feed per their TTL. Some information may be retained in backups or logs for a limited period to support security and legal obligations.
8. Your Choices & Rights
You may review, edit, or delete your profile information from the app. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting support@leakit.app. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws (such as access, correction, and deletion).
9. Children
The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
10. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted in the app or on our website. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
